It shall be the primary responsibility of this unit to coordinate the scheduling of the DARE program between the Police Department and the participating schools and to adhere to the guidelines of DARE New Jersey. The unit coordinator shall be responsible for the ordering of all DARE materials and scheduling of all special events. The unit coordinator will be responsible for the performance of all unit members.
Periodic observations of DARE Officers in the classroom setting should be done by the unit coordinator, or his designee, to assure that the proper information is being disseminated to participating student and that proper teaching methods are being utilized.
